Comic book artist Matt Frank announced via social media that Redman will get his own officially licensed comic book series.

The series will be published by Phase 6, the Japanese publisher that released Frank's Godzilla: Rulers of the Earth comic book in Japan with Frank writing and illustrating the series.
As for how his publisher got the rights to the character, Frank revealed that the company's head, Andrew Hall fell in love with Redman after Tsuburaya Productions (also known TsuPro) uploaded the series on YouTube. Hall then approached TsuPro, jumped on the idea and asked him to work on it. Details such as the price and release date of the series are yet to be announced.

For the uninitiated, Redman is a series of shorts that first appeared on Nippon TV's Ohayou! Kodomo Show back in 1972. In these shorts, Redman fights various aliens and monsters, most of which are re-used suits from the Ultraman franchise with our heores brutally defeating his opponents. The series later got a leash of new life thanks to Tsuburaya uploading the entire series online.
