Warner Bros. Entertainment posted the official trailer for the Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League anime film, which features both the English dub and the original Japanese audio.
In this sequel to Batman Ninja, the Batman family has returned to the present to discover that Japan has disappeared, and a giant island - Hinomoto - is now in the sky over Gotham City. At the top sit the Yakuza, a group of superpowered individuals who reign without honor or humanity and look suspiciously like the Justice League. Now, it’s up to Batman and his allies to save Gotham!
Returning to reprise their roles from Batman Ninja are: Koichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop) who will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman are: Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger) as Damian Wayne/Robin, Kengo Kawanishi (Naruto) as Tim Drake/Red Robin, Daisuke Ono (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Uchu Sentai Kyuranger) as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Akira Ishida (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED) as Red Hood, and Hochu Otsuka (Naruto, Kamen Rider Den-O) as Alfred.
Also part of the film's cast are: Masaki Terasoma (Fate/stay night, Kamen Rider Den-O) as Jim Gordon, Wataru Takagi (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) as The Joker, Rie Kugimiya (Shakugan no Shana) as Harley Quinn, Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia) as Green Lantern, Akio Otsuka (Fate/Zero) as Aquaman, Nobuyuki Hiyama (Yu Yu Hakusho) as The Flash, Romi Park (Fullmetal Alchemist) as Wonder Woman, and Kazuhiro Yamaji (Kamen Rider Blade) as Ra's al Ghul.
A direct sequel to Batman Ninja, Kamikaze Douga will once again animate the film with Junpei Mizusaki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure opening sequence) returning to direct the film alongside Shinji Takagi (Blood: The Last Vampire). Other returning staff members include scriptwriter Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Kamen Rider Fourze), character designer Takahashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai, Ninja Kamui), and composer Yugo Kanno (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Psycho-Pass).
Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is set for a digital release on March 18th, and will be available on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on April 15th.
