6th Main Metroid Game, Metroid Ravenous Announced

Nintendo announced in recent Nintendo Direct the next mainline entry to the Metroid series, titled Metroid Ravenous.

Taking plce after the events of Metroid Dread, it's eat or be eaten as renowed bounter hunter Samus Aran is ambushed by unknown attackers and marooned on an unfamiliar moon. Gather your arsenal, navigate a maze of corridors, hunt down powerful bosses, and use your newly awakened Metroid instincts to devour your foes.

Lastly, MercurySteam, who previously worked on Metroid Dread and Metroid: Samus Returns will once again develop the game. Metroid Ravenous is set for a January 28, 2027 release, exclusively only for the Nintendo Switch 2.
